St. Armand's CircleNearby cities of Bradenton and Sarasota offer four full service shopping malls, hundreds of specialty shops, quaint shopping villages, upscale boutiques and flea markets. Driving south along Florida’s Gulf Coast you will discover Sarasota and the world famous St. Armand’s Circle shopping district renown for its upscale shopping and fine dining.

BEACHES:

Overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, Anna Maria Island Florida is privy to some of the state's most beautiful beaches and sunsets. Soft sand and wide expanses that are perfect for walking and shelling define the area. Visitors and residents alike describe Anna Maria Island as a fun, laid-back community with some of Florida's most beautiful natural beaches. Tall, wispy sea oats grow on the shoreline protecting the beach as they gently sway with the warm Gulf breezes.

BeachesThis quiet island is a retreat if you are a beach-goer. A number of beachfront parks offer everything you’ll need for your next vacation. Anna Maria Bayfront Park features more than 1,000 feet of sandy beach that overlooks the waters of Tampa Bay on the northern tip of this quaint island. An abundance of parking, restrooms, showers, picnic shelters and a view of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge make this a family favorite. Anna Maria Beach is a quiet, undeveloped sandy Gulf beach that offers more than three acres of beautiful views and the soft sound of waves lapping at the shore. It’s a quiet and secluded beach that’s great if you are searching for some privacy.

Island BeachesFurther south you’ll find Holmes Beach. Located at the center of Anna Maria Island, it features a full range of amenities including grills, a playground, showers and a picnic area, as well as, plenty of wide, sandy beach. This is a surfer’s paradise when the waves are high.

Manatee County Beach features 900 feet of sandy beach on the Gulf of Mexico. Cortez Beach showcases 140 feet of undeveloped beach. It has free parking, lifeguards on duty, restrooms, picnic tables and showers.

Island BeachCoquina Beach located on the island’s southern tip is a popular public beach lined with towering Australian pines. A full-service concession stand, ample parking, barbecue pits, picnic facilities, a playground, restrooms, showers and lifeguards make this beach a popular, bustling beach. Coquina Beach has the largest parking facilities for island residents and our vacationing visitors. There are also several trolley stops along the beach including a trolley connection to downtown Sarasota and St. Armand's Circle.

FISHING:

Fishing is without a doubt the most popular pastime for residents and visitors alike. How popular is fishing in Florida. The lure of catching "the limit" attracts many anglers to the Sunshine State. Whether you are lured by the tranquillity of freshwater lakes or the excitement of saltwater fishing, you'll find what you're looking near Anna Maria Island Florida.

Rod and Reel PierAnna Maria Island offers three fishing piers the Bradenton Beach City, the Pier, the Rod & Reel Fishing Pier, and the historical Anna Maria Island City Pier. Fishing licences are now required for fishing from the beach or dock, however if the a fishing pier has a licence you will be covered. It's best to check on the current regulations as the state and federal government are changing the requirements.

The island offers a wide variety of charters from the Gulf of Mexico to the Bay and Backwaters where tours are specifically designed to take you places you've never been, and hardly anyone knows about. There is a wide variety of tours available for the serious fisherman, families and best of all kids fishing . There is no better way to highlight a vacation than the memories of kids catching fish. Anna Maria Island, Florida offers an incredible variety of restaurants from Cuban to American, from German to Italian, from French to Chinese. You haven’t truly experienced the island until you’ve witnessed the spectacular sunset from your favorite restaurant, café, or bar & grille.

Island RestaurantsRestaurant’s have some of the best real estate available on Anna Maria Island.
