Blues, Brews & BBQ on Bridge Street

The Third Annual Blues, Brews & BBQ on Saturday April 22st from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. will serve up an extra special blend of great outdoor music, cold beer and tasty food at a family friendly event that also spotlights the shops and restaurants that have made Bridge Street “Anna Maria’s Hot Spot” in recent years.

Steve Arvey facilitated the stellar lineup and is a cross-genre performer himself, as well as an ambassador for the well-established Tampa Bay Area Suncoast Blues Society. Proceeds of the event, will benefit All Island Denomination’s Food Pantry at Roser Church, without being an on-site food drive. A silent auction will further fundraising efforts without interrupting the entertainment. Expect to find some amazing deals from the Bridge Street Merchants and elsewhere on the island.

All ages are welcome with a $5 admission at the gate and free for kids 12 and under. The gate will open at 2 p.m. for admission and entry. While no outside food or drink will be permitted, event-goers may re-enter anytime with their wristbands, making it easy to check out other dining, drinking, live music, shopping, chair massage and even mini golf options right outside the lot’s gate on Bridge Street. There is a limited amount of complimentary table seating, to help sticky fingers with BBQ eating, and guests are welcome to bring their own chairs and blankets, just not coolers.

Motorworks Brewing, Bradenton’s first full production craft microbrewery, will provide craft beers for the event. A full liquor bar along with standard domestic beers, wine and non-alcoholic selections will also be available. The menu features mouth-watering BBQ with ribs and pulled pork platters from Island Time Bar & Grill, plus favorites from Fire and Stone including barbeque-themed pizzas.

The Bridge Street Merchants would like to thank the volunteers and sponsors who have made this event possible including Grayhawk Window Systems and The Bradenton Area Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Getting there: Consider taking the free island trolley right to Bridge Street.

Car parking: The city lot behind the Bridge Street Bistro, up and down Bridge Street, including by the pier, Bradenton Beach City Hall / Tingley Library, along the beach just south of Bridge Street, and down at Coquina Beach.
