Celebrating VALENTINE’S DAY On ANNA MARIA ISLAND – Anna Maria Island Condo Rentals

Did you know that in America, Valentine’s Day is the second most popular day to dine out? Valentine’s Day is the most romantic dining holiday of the year and right around the corner, so let us, Anna Maria Island Condo Rentals help you prepare. Anna Maria Island is the perfect vacation destination with the best dining options, perfect whether you’re celebrating with your significant other, best friend, or family. We’ve combed through the most romantic restaurants in the area to select our favorites based on personal and guest reviews, menu, service, and ambiance.
To help you choose the perfect spot, here is a list, in alphabetical order of our favourites for romantic dining on Anna Maria Island:
Beach Bistro – 6600 Gulf Drive, Holmes Beach 941-778-6444
Take a five-star cuisine, five star attentiveness, refined but nicely understated cozy atmosphere looking right out at the Gulf of Mexico and you’ve got one over-the-top Valentine’s Day experience. Enjoy dishes like Grilled Swordfish, Roasted Maple Leaf Duckling, Rack of Lamb embellished with port wine and roasted asparagus all with some culinary flourishes that go above and beyond. For dessert try the Chocolate Truffle Terrine or Key Lime Pie, delicious!
You can savour a beautiful dinner in their dining room or outside on the beach with your toes in the sand while enjoying amazing food and a beautiful sunset.
Many consider this to be the finest dining experience in the area. Some guests have told us it is a little pricey, but they go on to tell us the food is worth every penny. If you’re looking to impress your significant other this might be the place!
Note: If you don’t make it here for Valentine’s Day, don’t worry, the Beach Bistro is romantic year round.
Beach House – 200 Gulf Drive North, Bradenton Beach 941-779-2222
If all you did was sit at one of the tables and drink a glass of water, you would enjoy yourself. Fortunately, with Chef Will’s creativity the Beach House offers so much more than that. Offering delicious dishes all with an emphasis on sustainability and local ingredients, picked produce from their own farm and fresh from the Gulf seafood.
Located directly on the beach with indoor and outdoor dining and sweeping views of the Gulf of Mexico. Dine with your toes in the sand, listening to live music and enjoy a relaxing evening as you watch the sunset over the Gulf.
Note: This is one of my personal favourite restaurants on Anna Maria Island.
Blue Marlin Grill – 121 Bridge Street, Bradenton Beach 941-896-9737
Located in an original 1920s cottage on historic Bridge Street in Bradenton Beach.
The Blue Marlin is known on Anna Maria Island for their quality, fresh, local seafood and offers fine dining without that “stuffy” feeling. The restored beach cottage decor is a perfect combination of classic yet nautical and chic, a lovely atmosphere. The wall art blends well with the nautical ship lamps which provide a warm, relaxing feeling.
You will enjoy their appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, entrees and desserts. Blue Marlin is a special place for a special meal.
Note: Reservations are a must! Parking can be a problem. It is about a five minute walk from Anna Maria Island Condo Rentals or you can take the Free Island Trolley or tips for service Monkey Bus.
After dinner take a romantic walk on the pier at the East end of Bridge Street.
Bridge Street Bistro – 222 Gulf Drive South, Bradenton Beach 941- 782-1122
The Bridge Street Bistro main dining room, is located on the 3rd floor and boasts panoramic views of the gulf with indoor and terrace seating.
Watch the sunset while enjoying expertly prepared cuisine. The entrees, including Grouper, Cedar Planked Salmon, Duck and Filet Mignon, are delicious, but the chocolate beyond reason for dessert is the ultimate indulgence.
Note: it is very easy to confuse this dining area with their sister restaurant, Island Time Bar and Grill which is downstairs.
Eliza Ann’s Coastal Kitchen – 5325 Marina Drive, Holmes Beach 941-238-6264
Valentine’s Dinner 2019 from 4 PM – 10 PM Three Course Prix Fixe Menu
Enjoy a romantic dinner at Eliza Ann’s Coastal Kitchen with a Three Course Prix Fixe Menu. You will find a variety of options in all three courses that are sure to please everyone. For your second course/entree you can select, Seared Sea Scallop & BBQ Pork Belly, Colorado Rack of Lamb, Peruvian Surf & Turf or Red Snapper Ramen.
The food and service here is good and the attmosphere is nice. They have a beautiful patio overlooking the canal that you can watch the boats come in-and-out.
For reservations call 941-238-6264 or book on OpenTable through their website.
Note: Located at Waterline Marina Resort & Beach Club
French Table – 103 Gulf Drive North, Bradenton Beach 941-779-1930
If you’re looking for romance, you can never go wrong with a nice French restaurant. And, if cozy and quaint is what you’re looking for, French Table should get your reservation. French Table is a small family business serving authentic French food and the atmosphere is incredibly pleasant. The food, especially their homemade bread, Scallops and Shrimp, Duck, Pate Carbonara Fettuccini and dessert are delicious. We have found the portions are a little smaller, but they do leave you feeling satisfied. This is definitely a place where you’ll want to take your time and enjoy this little gem.
Note: Parking is limited, but the French Table is less than a five minute walk from Anna Maria Island Condo Rentals. Highly recommend making a reservation.
Isola Bella Italian Eatery – 5904 Marina Drive Holmes Beach 941-242-5309
Who doesn’t like Italian food? It’s always good, when you head to Isola Bella on Anna Maria Island. A small family run restaurant serving real Sicilian cuisine made with fresh ingredients, from simple and authentic recipes, with a wine list selected accordinglyThe dishes are authentically prepared and served by a wonderful Sicilian family. They even make their own pasta! You can feel the Love they pour into their foods!
Notethis restaurant has only been open for approximately 1 Year and the food seems to taste better every time we go.
Waterfront Restaurant  111 Bay Blvd. South, Anna Maria 941-778-1515
This beautiful, upscale restaurant is known for cuisine inspired by seasonal flavors and the finest ingredients. Whether you prefer shrimp, scallops, salmon or steak there is no end to delicious dishes served at this waterfront restaurant. And, their handcrafted cocktails are the best!
Indoor and outdoor seating is available. The indoor seating is quite charming, lending itself to a lovely romantic atmosphere. There is outdoor seating at the front of the restaurant overlooking the water as well as outdoor patio seating to the back. You will find both are cozy and casual.

Thinking of playing pickleball while vacationing with Anna Maria Island Condo Rentals? Excellent! No reason you can’t enjoy your game at home and on vacation too. With the increasing popularity of pickleball the number of places to play is increasing, but we have found on our travels that many destinations do not offer facilities to play. However, when you are vacationing with Anna Maria Island Condo Rentals, no worries, we have you covered. But, before we get to the where, let’s talk a little bit about the game itself.
At any sports complex you will find people playing all kinds of paddle or racket sports. Tennis and racquetball are two of the most popular of this variety of sport, but there are other creative options available. For those of you that have never played or are new to the sport of Pickleball you might be curious to know more about the game.
You may have just learned of Pickleball, but it isn’t new, it was actually invented in 1965 by three Washington dads to provide a game that the whole family could play together. In 1975 it was recognized as “America’s newest racquet sport”, and by 1990, pickleball was being played in all 50 United States.
So, what is pickleball? It is a combination of tennis, badminton and ping pong. It can be played with 2–4 people on a court similar to the size of a badminton court. The net in Badminton is elevated, a Pickleball net is low to the ground like on a tennis court. Instead of using a racquet and tennis ball, players use paddles made from solid wood or composite materials and a perforated plastic ball, a “Wiffle ball.” Pickleball is a sport that can be enjoyed both indoors and outdoors and has it own unique set of rules. It can be played as singles or doubles. When you serve you do it underhand. Only the serving team is able to score a point and after every point teammates switch spots.
A game is played to 11 and the victor must win by at least two points. Pickleball is a sport for all ages. Being played on a smaller court makes it popular for retired aged folks as they can get their exercise without having to play on a larger sized tennis court and you can actually carry on a casual conversation while playing.
Younger adults also like playing on the smaller court and enjoy an intense game testing their hand eye coordination much like ping pong. When I compare Pickleball to other sports, I find Pickleball is easier to get the swing and serving down because of the paddles and smaller court. When I first started to play tennis it took me months to get good enough to play a game, but when I started playing Pickleball it only took me a few hours to get the rules and techniques down.
The game of Pickleball can be a fun, competitive or a social game that almost anyone can play. For some players it is an adrenaline rush of playing great and winning. For me, it’s about the social interaction and experiencing the physical, mental, and social benefits of feeling great!
Okay, now where can you can play Pickleball in Anna Maria Island?

Planning Your Ideal Vacation — Anna Maria Island Condo Rentals

We understand there is so much more to your vacation than just accommodations.
When you think about your next holiday what comes to mind?
We’ve put together the following information to help you choose your vacation destination.
Where should we go? Looking for something that is not a densely populated tourist hot spot? Anna Maria Island (AMI) Florida is a little gem along the coast of the Gulf of Mexico that offers a perfect mix for those seeking total and utter relaxation or those wanting a more active, but still relaxing vacation. Anna Maria Island with 7 miles of bright, white powdery sand beaches, crystal clear turquoise water and old Florida charm is a popular tourist destination unlike others. The locals have done an amazing job of maintaining the island’s charm with no chain restaurants and no high rise buildings. You will find old beach cottages, gently swaying palms tress and award winning picture perfect beaches. Combine all that with the beautiful Florida sunshine and you have the idyllic atmosphere of Anna Maria Island. Watching sunrises colouring the radiant sky or viewing spectacular sunsets you will be delighted you have come to this beautiful Island.
Where will we stay? Stay with Anna Maria Island Condo Rentals and you will have everything you could possibly need to spend a vacation in paradise. From the white sandy beaches of Anna Maria Island, private beach access, luxurious condos featuring a heated pool, lanais overlooking the beach or pool and amazing location, we offer everything you need for a blissful, tropical vacation.
When should we book? Reserving your rental at least six to 12 weeks before you travel will improve the variety of inventory available. Typically our rates are not subject to the same changes as airfares or hotel rates. Thinking the inventory is unlimited? It’s not. Supply is limited and when supplies run out, so does your chance to book. So, our advice…if you like it, book it as soon as possible.
When is the best time to go? Anytime. If you want to enjoy a tropical climate, then Florida is the place for you. Florida has an average annual high of 80F, offering year round sunny, warm weather.
Every year residents from the northern United States, Canada and other cold weather countries flock to Florida in search of sunny skies and warmer temperatures. Because of this people think the months from January to April offer the best weather of the year. But, other months offer an equally perfect vacationing environment –
For example, Anna Maria Island, Florida from December to March sees average day temperatures from low 70’s to high 70’s. April to June low to high 80’s and July and August mid-high 80’s with some low to mid 90 degree temperatures. September to November low to high 80’s.
In my opinion, May and mid-September through November offer the best in terms of ideal temperatures – both air and water. Average daily highs ranging from low to mid 80’s and Gulf of Mexico water temperatures hovering around 80F delivers near perfect conditions for your vacation. These months are usually dry with lowish humidity and on top of that are quieter months. The snowbirds are gone, kids are in school which mean you have the Anna Maria Island beaches almost to yourselves.
Temperature tolerance is different for each of us. Some people think they will melt in the Florida summer heat. For me, summertime weather on Anna Maria Island is ideal. From June-August, average daily high temperatures range from 85 F – 91 F. With a 5-15 mph tropical beach breeze felt most prominently on the beach, most find it is quite comfortable. The Gulf of Mexico is typically 5-10 degrees cooler than the air temperatures making the water pristine! A swimsuit, cooler and beach umbrella are all you need for a most enjoyable day on the beach.
As you plan the perfect trip, remember any time of year is a great time to vacation in Anna Maria Island.
How will we get there? Plane, bus, train or car?
One of the many advantages of choosing Anna Maria Island as your travel destination, is that it is easily driveable from most American States and Canada. Plus, there are five International Airports within 2 hours of Anna Maria Island. Most visitors either fly or drive, but if that’s not your thing and you are willing to spend a little more time, consider travelling by train or bus which is as much an experience as it is transportation. Wether you arrive via air, train or bus there are many transportation services available to pick you up and deliver you safely to our condos.
How far is it from the airport? The closest airport to us, Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ), is approximately 15 minutes. SRQ is a relatively small airport making it very easy to navigate. The baggage area is easy to find and the car rentals are in the same area. In 2018 SRQ added a series of new destinations flights from budget airlines to/from some very popular locations. With many low cost, non-stop flights now being offered, Sarasota Bradenton International Airport is our the airport of choice. Tampa International Airport (TPA), another great options for our guests, is exactly 1 hour door to door. TPA offers an abundance of flights to many destinations. The driving time to: Orlando International (MCO) 1 hour 50 minutes, Clearwater/St.Petersburg (PIE) 45 minutes, and Fort Myers Southwest Florida (RSW) 1 hour 40 minutes; these are great airports as well.
How can we get around? Worried you won’t have a car when you arrive, don’t be. Unbelievable as it may seem, you really can get around the seven mile Island of Anna Maria without a car. Anna Maria Island offers you several transportation options: the Free Island Trolley operates daily from 6:00 am to 10:30 pm running approximately every 20 minutes. It will take you from Anna Maria at the northern tip to Coquina Beach, the Southernmost point of the Island & yes, it is FREE. Island Monkey Bus, a tip only ride service on Anna Maria Island and beyond. Golf cart Rental is readily available and a fun way to see the Island. Bike rental. Walk. Shopping, restaurants, and loads of activities are all within walking distance of our vacation property.
Upon booking with us, we are happy to help you choose the means of transportation that is right for you.
What will we do when we’re there? There is plenty to do on Anna Maria Island (AMI) Whether you’re looking for a quiet escape from reality or prefer a more lively experience there’s something for you on the island. You can go to the beach. With private beach access you will find less crowds in an area that’s almost exclusively yours. Walk the beach, you have 7 miles of it to enjoy or if you want true relaxation, sit and listen to the sound of the waves. You can bike the Island. Rent a bike and discover the Island, the peaceful neighbourhoods and the slow lifestyle of AMI. Follow along an unbeaten path, you never know what you might find. Go Paddleboarding, jet skiing, sailing or kayaking. Rentals are available right on the beach. Walk to Historic Bridge Street on Bradenton Beach. You will find lots of quaint shops, restaurants, and a nice pier at the end of Bridge Street. Well you’re there stop for a game of mini-putt and then to the courtyard at Blue Marlin where you can listen to live music and enjoy some delicious seafood. Rent a Golf cart or take the Free trolley to the North end of the Island. Have your picture taken at the old Anna Maria Jail and go shopping on Pine Avenue. With no shortage of shops you will find quaint, boutique clothing stores, culinary specialty stores, and more! Take your wallet as is likely you will find something you want to buy.
Can I play golf? – There is only one golf course on Anna Maria Island and it is gorgeous! The club is members only, but you can pay a guest fee of around $500. A little pricey for most, but don’t be discouraged there are many courses near Anna Maria Island.
Bradenton Country Club is a beautiful course designed with fountains, lots of trees, and lagoons. It is a 18 hole course located just 10 minutes east of the Island.
Timber Creek Golf Course is a nine hole course located 10 minutes east of Anna Maria Island. Not only is it a budget friendly course, but perfect for beginners and families.

Is it a good place for the kids? Not only is Anna Maria Island beautiful, it is also a great place for families. The island is not overly large. It is big enough to offer lots to do and yet small enough that everything is easily accessible.  On AMI, you won’t experience long lines, crazy traffic or other headaches while on vacation with your little (or big) ones.
Here are a few of our family favourites:
Go to the beach – Build sandcastles, swim, throw a ball around, bury each other in the sand. There are so many fun things to do at the beach.
Hunt for seashells – You can find shells anywhere on the beach, but for really great shelling go to Greer Island aka Beer Can Island. Located just south of Coquina Beach it is a perfect spot to grab some beautiful shells.
Get Donuts – This is always at the top of our list. The Donut Experiment for the most delicious donuts. You must experience these made to order donuts with multiple options of glaze, toppings galore, and even a drizzle of choice!
Play Miniature Golf – A fun activity for all ages. Who doesn’t love watching the ball sink in the hole? On historic Bridge Street which is full of other shops, restaurants and activities, so you can spend a whole morning, afternoon or evening there.
Or, rent kayaks and tour the mangroves, visit Mote Marine & Aquarium in Sarasota, parasail, the list is almost endless.
Where will we eat and drink? Our condos are complete with fully equipped kitchens and there are several nearby markets to find fresh local seafood, locally grown seasonal veggies and fresh spices. There is also a Publix Supermarket on the Island a few minutes from our condo and Island delivery service is also available.
We always suggest our guests dine out at least once. Why? Because the food on the Island is amazing! Beach towns aren’t always known for great food, but that’s not the case on Anna Maria Island. Whether you opt to dine at an upscale restaurant or prefer a more casual relaxed atmosphere you won’t be disappointed with the island’s culinary offerings. There are many restaurants in Anna Maria Island, each one offering something to suit every taste and palate. Would you like to dine with your toes in the sand, indulge in the freshest local seafood in a classy beach setting? Whether you prefer American food, Italian, barbecue, pub food, Mexican, German, you name it, you will find it on Anna Maria Island!
The following restaurants are all within walking distance of our condo. Walking times range from 2 to 15 minutes: Anna Maria Oyster Bar On the Pier, Beach House, Blue Marlin, Bridge Street Bistro, Bridge Tender Inn, French Table, Island Creperie, Island Time Bar & Grill, Kokunut Hut, Oma Pizza & Restaurant, Seafood Shack, Smoqehouse, Tide Tables Restaurant, Wicked Cantina.
When planning your next vacation, put Anna Maria Island on the top of your list. We’re certain you will be delighted as you take your first step on the white powdery sand beaches and look out onto the long stretch of turquoise water. For us, each visit is a beautiful as our first visit. Even after 30 years, we are still in awe of the breathtaking beach views and everything else AMI has to offer. We invite you to visit the white sandy beaches of Anna Maria Island where our favourite place in the world becomes your favourite place too!

Theatre Production at Island Players
Celebrating their 70th season the Island Players Community Theatre is Manatee County’s oldest Community Theater. Located at the north end of Anna Maria Island this theatre continues to provide artistic experiences for the communities while utilizing young and local talent.
From January 10 – January 27, 2019 the theatre is showcasing their version of I HATE HAMLET. I Hate Hamlet is a dramatic comedy written in 1991 by Paul Rudnick set in John Barrymore’s old apartment in New York City. The play follows successful television actor Andrew Rally as he struggles with taking on the role of Hamlet and dealing with a girlfriend who wants him to play Hamlet in Central Park. This is the only stage role his agent, Lillian, has found for him, but Andrew hates Hamlet! The ghost of John Barrymore, who, clothed as Hamlet, has come back to earth for the sole purpose of convincing Rally to play the part. Barrymore is very convincing and Andrew decides to play Hamlet. But when a Hollywood friend shows up offering Andrew a new role in a television pilot, with a potentially large salary and fame, Andrew is forced to choose between Shakespeare, whom his girlfriend loves, or television, where he is loved by millions. Will he stay or not stay? Come find out. You are sure to enjoy this entertaining production of I Hate Hamlet, in this quaint, historic theatre in Anna Maria Island.
Performances are Tuesday through Saturday evenings at 8:00 pm with Sunday matinees at 2:00 pm. Single tickets are $20.00 each. Tickets can be purchased in person at the Box Office located at 10009 Gulf Drive (corner of Gulf Drive and Pine Avenue), Anna Maria. The Outlaws LIVE Concert
At The Center of Anna Maria Island, 407 Magnolia Ave., Anna Maria, Florida
Saturday, January 19th / Doors open 6:00 PM / Opening Act 7:00 PM
Showtime 8:00 PM / Reserve seats are $50.
This is a concert you don’t want to miss. Do you remember this southern rock band formed in Tampa in 1972? You might remember the Outlaws 1975 best known hit “There Goes Another Love Song.” Come and see their show, hear their new songs when the Bradenton Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (BACVB) brings the Outlaws to Anna Maria Island. As part of a series of concerts planned in 2019 the BACVB hopes to bolster tourism and boost the local economy with each venue receiving 100 percent of ticket and food sales from the concerts. Rich Engler, the first inductee in the Pittsburgh Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, will be producing the concerts at the same time he celebrates his 50th year as a concert producer in 2019.
This particular performance will prove to be a balancing act for the production crew. The Anna Maria community center holding the concert, is in a neighborhood where this type of entertainment is not characteristic. Some residents might love the music while others might find the “noise” bothersome. But, those involved in bringing this concert to the community have stated that they will do everything to make this unique experience a good one for all. They want to give the residents and visitors the feeling of intimacy by giving them an opportunity get up close and personal with the artists.
For the Outlaws, this is their chance to bring their band back into the light, to show how much they love making music.
Over the years, The Outlaws experienced several hardships. They went through personnel changes, ill-fated reunions, bitter trademark battles, the tragic deaths of co-founding members Frank O’Keefe and Billy Jones in 1995, and songwriter/vocalist/lead guitarist Hughie Thomasson in 2007. Many people feared that The Outlaws’ trail had come to an end. Not so, after 40 years, The Outlaws are back. They are on the road, on the radio and their fans are loving it.
I have seen the Outlaws perform a few times before and they never disappoint – actually they seem to get even better with age. If you get the opportunity to see this band, you should – they are a true Southern Rock legend.

We are experienced and dedicated vacation rental owners with a real passion for hosting and are honoured to be recognized as a ‘Superhost’ by Airbnb.
There is no denying Airbnb recognizes hosts who work hard. The Airbnb Superhost program boasts over 400,000 members around the world. With a freshly updated program, Airbnb hopes it will enable hosts to become more successful, cater to more guests and ultimately, achieve more bookings.
Our letter from Airbnb ….
So what did we have to do to become a Superhost? There are certain requirements and we met them all!
  • Of course we needed to have an account in good standing. Our performance was measured over the past 365 days.
  • We completed at least 10 trips OR successfully completed 3 long term reservations that total at least 100 nights
  • We maintained a 50% review rate or higher
  • Maintained a 90% response rate or higher
  • We had Zero cancellations (Airbnb allows some extenuating circumstances exceptions)
  • We needed to maintain a 4.8 overall rating
The real compliment to earning Superhost status is we didn’t even apply. But, we did work really hard to meet the programme requirements.
Sounds simple enough? Well, not as simple as you might think. It’s an extremely competitive market with millions of Airbnb listings all over the world. We go above and beyond and offer our guests the best service possible.
We are proud of our 100% response rate. When we receive a booking we respond right away. Yes, like a fire cracker. Guests are often surprised and thank us for contacting them so quickly, saying, “we just booked that minutes ago”.
Our reviews speak for themselves↵↵↵
Zero cancellations, yep you read that correctly. Pretty awesome, right?
It sure is nice to be recognized and we kinda think we deserve it, but we think it is unfair to take all the credit. We attribute our success to not only our hard work, but to our amazing guests as well!
So as we extend a warm thank-you to Airbnb for this recognition we also send a BIG thank-you to our guests, it is always our the privilege to host you.

5 Places To Grab A Great Breakfast In Anna Maria Island – Anna Maria Island Condo Rentals

Good Morning Anna Maria Island!  Rise and Shine! You are finally here and your long anticipated vacation is beginning. Time for a yummy breakfast, but not sure where to go for the best Island breakfast? Does the sound of Creme brûlée French toast awaken your taste buds? How about a bowl of fresh fruit salad, Island style?

We’ve got you covered with 5 places to grab a great breakfast in Anna Maria Island.
Gulf Drive Café-Bradenton_Beach_
Take an early morning walk along the beach then stop for breakfast only minutes from Anna Maria Island Condo Rentals – 601 Gulf Dr. N. Anna Maria Island, Florida 34217. And, if you like eating literally at the beach’s edge, this place is for you. There is indoor or outdoor dining options, both with a welcoming Island atmosphere no matter where you choose to sit and eat. The restaurant is usually busy, but with the beautiful view you really don’t mind the wait.
The Cafe is well known for their Belgian waffles, but they have just about everything under the breakfast sun as well. Try their homemade oatmeal or French toast – you can’t go wrong! Their seafood quiche is also quite delicious!
Good food, good price, prompt and friendly service with a spectacular view of the Gulf of Mexico.
Location: 900 Gulf Drive North, Bradenton Beach, FL 34217
Hours: Breakfast served from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm
Island Creperie – Bradenton Beach
A taste of Paris on Bradenton Beach. This pretty eatery is a little gem tucked away on Bridge Street and an easy walk from Anna Maria Island Condo Rentals. With the many charming shops and eateries on Bridge Street you might miss it and that would be a shame. This place is a great take on a French breakfast!
The owner of the Creperie is French, which is evident with the restaurant’s fantastic French flare and culture’s care for the best fresh ingredients.
An extensive menu with so many delicious crepes choices on the menu it’s difficult to choose, but I am sure that you could not go wrong with any of them. My favourite is the Nutella fruit crepe which features pears and a berry compote which is divine! Another item to try is the gourmet croissant which is loaded with eggs, cheese and bacon – you can also have it with sausage or ham.
I love the cozy environment, charming decor and friendly staff.
What more can I say to entice you? — Absolutely adorable! Excellent table service! Delicious crepes & coffee! Enjoy!
Location: 127 Bridge Street, Bradenton Beach, FL 34217
Hours: 8:30 am to 1:30 pm Wednesday – Monday (closed Tuesday)
Ginny’s and Jane E’s Cafe and Coastal Store – Anna Maria
I Love coming here! I love the large number of menu choices, homemade food and eclectic dining room. You will immediately notice the quirkinesses of this place, with various trinkets and souvenirs adorning throughout with a mix of different tables and chairs. I love that the board of gluten free options posted is big and obvious. When you arrive you place your order and they bring you your food. There are some really good, healthy food choices that will energize you for exploring the rest of your day. If you like cinnamon rolls, you won’t be disappointed, they are huge and flavorful. The Creme brûlée French toast is amazing and the gluten-free pancakes with blueberries are tasty and filling. I also love their selection of various coffees.
Weekends and holidays can be very busy, which is a testimony to not only the popularity of this iconic place, but also the quality and variety. Don’t be put off by the line-up as they are quickly attended to and then will build again.
The staff is excellent and super friendly as well.
After your delicious breakfast it’s a must to shop in their gift shop where you will find a unique collection of prints, jewelry and different island stuff.
Location: 9807 Gulf Drive, Anna Maria, FL 34216
Hours: open every day 7:00 am to 4 pm
Peach’s – Holmes Beach
You can certainly set yourself up for the day with American breakfasts and Peachs is no exception. Delicious food, friendly service and a diverse menu makes this a great place to start your day. Their menu options are plentiful including fresh squeezed orange juice! They offer plenty of healthy and indulgent menu items that are freshly made. Some of my personal favourites are: French toast, Egg Benedict, Siesta omelette, and their very fluffy pancakes.
I must say, their fruit is always fresh and their muffins are amazing. My last visit I ordered the parfait and it was huge and worth every bite.
I appreciate when restaurants are amenable to special orders and Peach’s is always willing to accommodate any of our special requests.
Good service, great food, Peaches is definitely one of the Island’s best for breakfast.
Location: 3240 East Bay Drive, Holmes Beach, FL 34217
Hours: 6:00 am to 2:30 pm Daily
Cortez Cafe
This little gem is located in a small strip plaza in the historic Cortez Fishing Village which dates back to the late 1890s. It is a long-established, unpretentious family business offering good quality food with great value. There is always a wait during the busy season, but their food and service is consistently great no matter how busy they are. The café is always full of locals and you always get a warm welcome.
Serving the standard breakfast fare of eggs, omelettes, pancakes, bacon, sausage and hash browns are spot on and, importantly, served hot. If you like Eggs Benedict I can promise they are excellent here!
This is a really great breakfast place with large portions, delicious and very satisfying food. Service is attentive and friendly.
Location: 12108 Cortez Road West, Cortez, Florida 34215
Hours: Open daily 6:30 to 2 pm
