Holiday Events on Anna Maria Island!
For the next few weeks I am going to focus on the upcoming holiday season. I will be talking about some great family friendly activities to check out if you are visiting Anna Maria Island in December and January.
This week I am discussing two of my favorite holiday activities…the Anna Maria Island Christmas Parade & the Annual Holiday Night of Lights on St. Armand’s Circle.
On December 2, 2016 the 38th Annual Holiday Night of Lights will take place on St. Armand’s Circle. The evening will start off with a special holiday performance from 5:30 pm to 6:00 p.m. followed by the annual Christmas Carol Sing-a-long beginning at 6:00 p.m.
Following the Sing-a-long will be the “Santa Parade” led by Wells Fargo Stage Coach with the arrival of Santa in his sleigh and then the tree lighting ceremony in St. Armand’s Circle Park. This is a great holiday event to get everyone in your family in the Christmas spirit. While you’re there be sure to check out one of my all time favorite restaurants The Columbia Restaurant!
Amazingly authentic Spanish food, Sangria & desserts. This a must try restaurant-you wont be disappointed! Stay-tuned in the upcoming weeks for a more in-depth review!
The next activity I would recommend checking out is the Privateers Christmas Parade on Anna Maria Island. This takes place on December both 2016 from 10am to 1230pm.
The parade runs the entire length of Anna Maria Island starting at Bay Front Park & ending at Coquina Beach. This parade is open to everyone and best of all is FREE of Charge! The parade goes the entire length of the Island ending at Coquina Beach, where Santa will board our Flagship “Skullywag” for all the kids to sit on Santa’s Lap. (Great Photo-op!) Hotdogs, Chips and Soda will also be provided for all the kids…Best of all our condo is on the parade route and you won’t even have to venture far to check it out!
