restaurant is a must for sushi. This popular family-owned sushi house
features traditional rolls and Japanese fare in a relaxed atmosphere.
This sushi and Japanese cuisine restaurant is situated in a lovely
marina with a modern Japanese decor. First of all the view can’t be
beat. This restaurant is located at the Galati Yacht Basin overlooking
the Gulf with a view of boats and water as far as your eyes can
see.There is indoor and outdoor seating and a cool top deck you can
check out after dinner for a great view. Wether you dine inside or
outside you will have a view of the beautiful boats and gorgeous yachts.
The Island Ocean Star offers habachi, full bar and plenty of seating. Our first visit we sat at the hibachi table, otherwise we would have requested outdoor seating. I had sushi and it was unique, very fresh, well prepared and delicious! The rest of the family had hibachi and they were very pleased. The portions were reasonable and the chef was skilled and entertaining.
Our next visit we sat outside on the patio and the views from their deck overlooking Bimini Bay on Anna Maria Island are beyond gorgeous. You have a 270 degree view and we were lucky enough to get a sunset, with lots of pelicans hanging out AND a glimpse of some playful dolphins. Our appetizers were just as delicious as the first visit — definitely get the gyoza! The sushi was great….visually stunning, quickly delivered, fresh and creative. The lobster roll, the crispy spicy tuna and the shrimp roll were all very good. Great friendly service and wonderful food we will go be back.
I advise making reservations, especially during peak season as it gets very busy.
If you or your party does not feel like dining out, you can order sushi online for pickup.
You can travel there by car or boat. — If you enjoy sushi, you must go there, you will love it!

- Excellent all around! The Ocean Star salad is the best I’ve ever had in my entire existence! I went back home to Ft. Lauderdale and dreamt about it for 30 days until I could travel to Anna Maria and endulge in all of it’s goodness once again. Our waitress was excellent and friendly. The Manager was also very warm and inviting. Will I go back? Well duh …ofcourse I will!

- Ocean Star has a nice atmosphere. It is a waterfront locale with beautiful boats in the marina in which it is located. The food is very good, but a little pricey. I thought that the service was good and courteous.
