A sister restaurant to the Beach House Restaurant which is on Bradenton Beach, Mar Vista is located at the North end of Longboat Key, about a 5 minute drive from our condos. It is perfectly placed right on the bay side overlooking Sarasota Bay with its recently renovated 14 slip private boat dock. There is ample seating inside the rustic dining room, on the covered outdoor deck or under the canopy of ancient Buttonwood trees. You will enjoy a creative menu with a selection of fresh local seafood, farm to fork produce right from their own farm and pasture to plate land fare. As well, many of their own breads are baked on site. They offer a full bar and an extensive wine list. Terry’s favourite is the Brussel Sprouts appetizer and the Mar Vista Burger. While I usually order the crab cakes or Cobb salad, both are equally delicious!

- Lauren was great! Come here all the time by boat. Great dock, great food! A longboat key staple. Nice little gift shop as well. And the tile fish risotto this evening, very tasty.
